Portfolio Check!

I believe I will do pretty well on this third portfolio check, minus a few points on the blog posts because I will be a few behind but besides that I think I will have a good grade on another check in on my portfolio (: I will let you know more once I receive it.

Having to Catch up on Posts.

Just a few more blogs and I will have caught up! I can't believe that I let myself get this far behind on them. It's rather annoying, I should probably fix this before next portfolio check so I wont have to do so many when it comes down to it.

Wise Words

As Babe Ruth once said, "It's hard to beat a person who never gives up". I find this quote to be very inspirational when it comes to Senior Project because we the students and even the teachers are constantly striving and pushing towards an extraordinary goal. Some days these goals seem impossible and just a far fetched dream that probably will never come true and that it will only cause disappointment and to many wanting to give up. This quote relates because I know as a diligent worker that I have the determination, motivation, and passion to be able to strive and achieve the end result of success.

Simple Statement.

We are still working on our products for the next few weeks and let me tell you it's going to be very busy. These products are another huge grade towards  Senior Project and I am looking forwards to successfully  complete this task. It's obviously not going to be easy but with time, effort, and some of Mrs. Hall's guidance I believe that it will be very possible.

Posts, on Posts, on Posts.

I really need to stay up on blogging, I always seem to forget to make posts until it's a couple of days before a portfolio check and I have to make numerous ones. It kinda stinks because  I always say that I'm going to fix that and start blogging pretty much daily and I never seem too. I'm definitely going to have to this time around.

Needing to Schedule More Mentor Hours!!

So I have not been able to complete my minimum of ten mentor hours yet, which is a bummer because they are due. Unfortunately neither of us have been able to meet in a while. If I'm not working; I do not have a ride there and when those two things are not an issue then it will be an issue  with him not being available. So it's been tough. As I said; I need hours!

Just a Typical Blog

Within the next couple days we have our ten mentor hours due, a portfolio check, and only a few weeks left to complete our product. Wow, alot is going on! I can't believe how fast Senior Project has been flying by this semister. To be honest I don't really want this semister to end because of this particular class. I really do enjoy and look forward to coming to this class daily, and even though this class does have a large amount of work and deadlines to complete and can sometimes even be extremely stressful, having the end result of each task feels amazing. The reason for this spectacular feeling is because I know how much time and effort I put into these assignments everytime there due so I always have the feeling of pride in myself when they are completed.

Progression of the Product

Unfortunately, I have not been able to meet with Mrs. Potter after school to discuss my Product due to unavailability on my behalf. Hopefully I will have this "meeting" sometime this week so that I can continue my product and possibly finalize my eighth grade lesson plan. I'm still excited to have this experience but I can definately feel my nerves growing. Luckily, I did find an awesome Fingerprint Basics PowerPoint that included a follow along/ fill in the blank worksheet. This PowerPoint and worksheet addresses the key information about fingerprints that could be involved in an eighth grade level.

Product Presentation

During class Mrs. Hall had some of her fellow colleagues sit in on our product presentation  to criticize and give feed back on our proposed product ideas. I found that I had done very well on this presentation and covered all aspects needed to be discussed. These sit in teachers liked my product idea of going into the middle school to teach the eighth graders a little bit about Forensic Science. Particularly targeting the Fingerprint basics. They thought that my learning stretch of teaching a difficult topic to a younger age would be phenomenal because it will and can be a challenge.

Behind on the Blogging!

So I have been behind on my blogging as you can see! Which means that I have to get typing. I'm not sure what to blog about on this particular blog post but I'll try my best. Senior Project is still going really good for me and we have had some great product discussions that has been helpful.
