Senior Project- Welcoming the Topic.
Hello my name is Samantha and I am currently a senior at Plymouth South High School. As a senior this year I was able to take a course called Senior Project. The purpose of Senior Project is to empower all students to explore an area of great personal interest that extends beyond the classroom setting. At first when I obtained the information about this class I had mixed emotions towards it. I was interested to hear more about it. So last year when we were able to take a day to discuss this course I was able to understand it in a greater way. Now that I am in this class I find this sort of enjoyable to be able to have a class that allows me to choice what I learn. The topic that I myself chose at first was extremely broad with just being Forensic Science. After only the first few days I was able to make this topic more specific, which resulted to being the glamorization of Forensics' in the media. Ever since first grade when I saw my first episode of CSI, I have been highly fascinated with the Forensic field. So having this opportunity to take a class of "my choice" I knew I had to take up this experience. I am looking forward to excel further into Senior Project and expand my knowledge on "Why the media exaggerates the truth about evidence found at a crime scene?"
