Second Portfolio Check Tomorrow.
Tomorrow is our second portfolio check and I can honestly say I am ready for it. This sort of thinking is due to the fact that after every assignment that has been returned to us, has been placed into my Senior Project Portfolio. This is a great habit to get into because I do not have to stress out as much the night before trying to find specific pieces of work needed for the portfolio check. Although there is one aspect that I am hesitate about for this portfolio check is the number of blog posts. I had fallen behind slightly on the number of posts but and making a speedy recovery and will catch up to the appropriate number of posts in no time.
Thank you, Mrs. Hall.
First off I wanted to take the time to thank my Senior Project Coach Mrs. Hall for helping me accomplish everything I have done so far. Without her assists and time my Senior Project class would probably not be where it is at today. She is consistently going out of her way to help anyone with anything she possibly can, and if she can not help you with something in particular she is always willing to point you into the right direction to help further yourself. For this, Mrs. Hall I wanted to show my appreciation and thank you for all that you have done.
Final Draft! =)
Today, we received our final drafts of our research paper back so that we can put them into our portfolio. I could not be more happier with my results! I feel phenomenal on how well I scored. Though this process did take numerous days, even months of diligent work the feeling of accomplishment weights all that down. I could not be more proud of myself and the continuous efforts I have been able to portray in my Senior Project class and work.
Fingerprinting
My last mentor appointment was on November 7th for an hour and a half. In this meeting I was able to get my fingerprints developed by two gentlemen that were shadowing my mentor. They walked me through the proper procedure on how to create proficient fingerprints that could later be used to analysis. I was able to obtain the knowledge on how the officials rock each individual finger from one side to the other in not only the ink but also on the print card to reveal a major of the minutiae's. A minutiae can be defined as a point of interest in a fingerprint. It was an intriguing lesson that I was sort of nervous about at first (only because I was getting fingerprinted at the police station haha) but I was glad I was able to take part in it. It was a wonderful experience.
Mentor Hours
So far I have been fortunate enough to participate in a few of my mentor hours. These hours will be recorded onto a practicum log where I the student will input the date, the hours spent with mentor, a brief comment on what we were able to accomplish, the mentors initials, and finally my own initials. The down part of this process so far is that the required minimum 5 mentor hours were due on November 9th; I was unable to get signed off on this requirement due to the lack of 5 mentor hours and the missing mentor signatures.
Final Draft of the Research Paper!
The finalized draft of the research paper was not only an enormous relief factor but a wonderful feeling of success! I was actually able to complete this research paper which did not necessarily surprise me towards the completion instance but the fact that I was able to develop a minimum of a ten page paper, WOW! I still can't get over the fact that I was able to type up a paper that consisted of such a large amount of pages. It's truly a fantastic feeling!

Comments on the Second Draft.
Previously our second research paper draft was due and I was able to successfully pass it in on time and I was able to achieve the proper number of pages needed. It was truly a phenomenal feeling of accomplishment. Knowing that I am so close to a finalized copy seems spectacular, considering only two months prior it was only being thought of and discussed. As the days for this final draft narrow I will definitely feel the enthusiasm and nerves for the completion of this research paper.
Minor Mistake on my Portfolio Check
It has been a while since I have last posted on my blog! As I stated in my previous blog post my class had a portfolio check, and I did very well. Although I was marked down for my handwritten tabs I was able to easily fix that issue so when the next portfolio check comes around I will be able to receive full credit for my tabs. Overall, it was a great start to my portfolio and I am looking forward to add on.
