Fingerprinting
My last mentor appointment was on November 7th for an hour and a half. In this meeting I was able to get my fingerprints developed by two gentlemen that were shadowing my mentor. They walked me through the proper procedure on how to create proficient fingerprints that could later be used to analysis. I was able to obtain the knowledge on how the officials rock each individual finger from one side to the other in not only the ink but also on the print card to reveal a major of the minutiae's. A minutiae can be defined as a point of interest in a fingerprint. It was an intriguing lesson that I was sort of nervous about at first (only because I was getting fingerprinted at the police station haha) but I was glad I was able to take part in it. It was a wonderful experience.
